A self-practice to unleash your full potential

Without constant evolution and change you wouldn’t grow, learn, progress or develop. There would be no new neural pathways formed in your brain. Your cells would not renew. The point?

We are all evolving and changing.

Freedom Unleashed Daily Practice for Change is not some fluffy meditation.

It will create physiological, emotional, energetic and frequency changes within you that will enable you to unleash more of your full potential.

I wanted to put something together that has been shown scientifically to work and explain the science behind it. Sometimes people need that confirmation before giving something a go. The visuals in the video are expressions of DMT release, the experience of samadhi and sacred geometry (see video credits).

Who is this for?

Freedom Unleashed Daily Practice for Change is an edit combining the benefits of the Wim Hof Method with the power of Tony Robbins’ Priming.

I put together this video and MP3 to provide something scientifically shown to help and benefit anyone - regardless whether you’re going through traumatic or difficult times, or you’d just like to see positive changes in your life.

For unless you are some Buddha, Jesus, or another such perfect soul who has cracked human suffering and discovered the ultimate limits of their reality, you can safely say your greatest potential here on Earth has yet to be realised.

The Science behind Freedom Unleashed Daily Practice for Change


Self-hypnosis

Self-hypnosis (or auto-hypnosis) uses autosuggestion, which a 2022 review concludes can “effectively create changes within the body on a behavioral, cognitive and neural level.”

You are using Freedom Unleashed Daily Practice for Change to essentially hypnotise yourself, or ‘suggest’ and unleash changes and new outcomes within your own subconscious to be initiated for you back within your physical reality and normal state of conscious awareness.


Hypnosis is the scientific word used to explain the path inwards from our usual state of conscious awareness into our subconscious to altered states of consciousness found within what psychologists call the ‘unconscious mind’.


When we carry out an activity that brings our focus to the present moment, we move into alpha brainwave activity and our thinking slows down which studies show “is especially effective for reducing anxiety, depression, and stress.”

The brainwaves change from alpha (present focus) into theta (the hypnotic state) once we relax, trust, surrender, let go, and/or ‘sink into’ the experience.

You are most deeply connected to your subconscious - or unconscious mind - once you ‘sink into’ theta. You are also in theta just before you sleep (called hypnagogia) and just after you wake up (called hypnopompia).

These are two natural times of the day when autosuggestion is most effective, but Freedom Unleashed Daily Practice for Change is energising, so just after you wake up is best (when I do it).

From theta we can also shoot right back up into gamma brainwaves, but I will dive into that deeper below.


Wim Hof Breathing

The first 10 mins of Freedom Unleashed Daily Practice for Change are the Wim Hof Method (WHM) led by Wim Hof.

The results of a 2013 study (published in 2014 and 2015) showed that people who practise the WHM are able to use breathing and mindset (or outcome expectancy optimism) techniques to voluntarily influence their autonomic nervous system (which regulates unconscious actions like body temperature and heart beat), control the fight or flight response, boost the immune system, combat severe illness, and become extraordinarily energised within only 10 days.

A 2018 brain imaging study found the WHM changes brain activity, activating pain modulation, as well as areas of the brain associated with self-reflection, internal focus and sustained attention in the presence of averse external stimuli.

A 2024 systematic review confirms the WHM reduces inflammation in healthy and non-healthy participants, helping with inflammatory illness.

Positive benefits of the WHM can be dramatically enhanced by following Freedom Unleashed Daily Practice for Change with a daily cold shower, or some sort of cold immersion (eg. a dip in a river or lake - or even an ice bath!).

You can always start with spraying your feet with cold water daily, and build up to the whole body slowly from there.

“I start every day in a cold plunge," says Tony Robbins.

"It's intense but when you train your brain that when I say ‘go’ go, no negotiation, then that shows up in every other part of your life."

The final 20 minutes or second part of Freedom Unleashed Daily Practice for Change is edited from two separate Priming sessions led by Tony Robbins.

Priming starts with rapid controlled breathing like the WHM, Tummo (inner heat) meditation, Pranayama (yogic breathing) or Holotropic Breathwork.

The purpose behind all these breathing techniques is to create physiological, energetic and frequency changes to access altered states of consciousness that enable healing to come from within the person practising the breathwork. It is often considered a more intense form of meditation.

We are in the hypnotic theta brainwave state when we focus and let go into the unconscious while we’re awake, and also when we dream. Science shows we move into the highest brainwave state - gamma - when we lucid dream.

Gamma is also the brainwave state we go into when channeling (which I will dive into in another article). Lucid dreaming and channeling are states when we feel we are directly accessing information from a greater conscious awareness.



There are many studies on Holotropic Breathwork, the hyperventilation practice developed by psychiatrists Stanislav and Christina Grof specifically as a psychotherapeutic technique to help people access this lucid altered state for deep emotional and psychological healing and personal growth without the need for psychedelics or plant medicine.

One 2015 study concluded benefits include “very beneficial temperament changes, which can have positive effects on development of character, measured as an increase in self-awareness.”

Two Stanford studies demonstrate that Robbins’ approach decreases negative emotions like depression and anxiety while also causing positive physiological, biochemical and psychological effects that create transformative lasting change.


HeartMath®

Priming also includes focusing on the heart with gratitude.

Decades of research shows that our hearts send more information to our brains than our brains send to our hearts, and research by the HeartMath Institute shows that this technique of intense focus on the heart with feelings of appreciation brings the heart into a perfect coherent rhythm and the person into a state termed psychophysiological coherence “because it is characterized by increased order and harmony in both our psychological (mental and emotional) and physiological (bodily) processes.”


Psychophysiological coherence is a state of optimal function.

Loving-kindness or Metta

Accumulating evidence from the last two decades suggests self-compassion is central to psychological well-being and reduced psychopathology symptoms.

Priming continues with sending out compassion to others. Known as metta meditation, or loving-kindness meditation, this practice activates the brain’s circuitry for empathy and deeply increases compassion within ourselves.

Further, it reduces individual feelings of isolation, anxiety and depression and increases social connectedness and positive emotions; a series of studies spanning decades also show loving focus can cause a “a stress-reducing and coherence-creating effect in society” including “decreased social violence.”

The theory in quantum physics of a field effect within collective consciousness implies that it is the unity of all individuals within a unified quantum vacuum that enables a “shift in our ordinary everyday worldview" from “a network of observers" to alter “the structure of physical reality itself.”


Self-healing and Law of Attraction

Priming also incorporates imagining self-healing, healing in others, and finishes with focusing on future goals and imagining them done.

The law of attraction is fundamentally a spiritual concept embedded in today’s quantum field theory. It asserts we exist within a unified field of consciousness and - as an individual consciousness - our thoughts, feelings and our focus affect life, emotions, health and events we experience within the field of consciousness.

A 2018 study shows practising law of attraction techniques self-heal, increasing our own feelings of gratitude and happiness. We all know our own belief can heal us physically too - it is called the placebo effect - and Forbes writes “many of us have already experienced the manifestation of something that we imagined.”

With distance healing studies shown to score better than hands-on healing studies, a study showing women who had been prayed for had nearly twice as high a pregnancy rate as those who had not been prayed for, the idea that law of attraction is hocus-pocus spiritual nonsense is fading with each new study:


Although the very consideration of such a possibility may appear scientifically bizarre, it cannot be denied that, across the planet, people pray for health and for relief of symptoms in times of sickness. Healing through prayer, healing through religious rituals, healing at places of pilgrimage and healing through related forms of intervention are well-established traditions in many religions.


“The ancient wisdom of the world’s philosophies and religions as expressed in prayer and meditation can now be scientifically verified and understood physiologically,” writes David B. Dillard-Wright for Psychology Today.

In his 2012 article for Frontiers in Human Neuroscience: because “changes in consciousness accommodated by neural correlates and plasticity of the brain advance a model of perceptual change.”


Neuroplasticity

Neuroscientist Dr. Tara Swart explains the law of attraction, or manifesting change, from the perspective of neuroplasticity:

Also known as brain plasticity or neural plasticity, it is the ability of the brain to adapt, grow, change and heal itself by repeatedly sending it new messages.

Until recently, neuroscientists assumed the brain didn’t or couldn’t change once we reached a certain age. But we create new connections between our neurons.

We rewire our brains by having new experiences, building new skills and affirming to ourselves new stories. The whole Freedom Unleashed Daily Practice for Change is a self-hypnosis exercise in rewiring the brain.

[Your brain] is constantly changing. You can participate in that process. This means that things are not permanent as we once thought and also that you can heal trauma,” says Dr Louise Hansen.

Science at all levels is rapidly explaining what spiritual teachers have been claiming for 1000 of years because we are all being pulled rapidly into a greater awareness of the fact that everything is connected, we are responsible for our individual and collective experience of reality, and we access change within.
