Shabnam Palesa Mohamed is an award-winning activist, journalist for SPM Media and TrialSite News, and a lawyer, from South Africa.
Shabnam is the founder-CEO of Transformative Health Justice focused on safe, affordable and effective health care in South Africa, which launched SA VAERS, an alternative and independent vaccine adverse effects reporting system.
Shabnam also launched the African Coalition to Stop the Treaty (ACST), co-founded the African Health Independence Solidarity Alliance (AHISA), and is Executive Director of Children’s Health Defense Africa.
Shabnam is a Director of EbMCsquared which is “advancing health and well-being for the benefit of humankind” and serves on the steering committee of the World Council for Health (WCH).
Shabnam co-chairs the WCH Law and Activism Committee, recently launched World Council for Health South Africa, is committed to the WCH’s vision of creating a better way, and will be speaking again this year at Better Way 2023, the second WCH Better Way conference taking place in Bath June 2023.
