About this episode:
Jennifer Sharp is director and producer of the film Anecdotals, "a compassionate exploration of the nuanced vaccine debate."
In March 2021, after receiving her Pfizer shot, Jennifer couldn't feel the left side of her face for a month. Eighteen months later, electric shocks and muscle weakness continue.
Unable to receive the 2nd dose, she is amongst a group of partially-vaccinated people who have been outcast from many aspects of society.
Censored and told it's unethical to talk about their stories because they are just anecdotes, this movie provides a glimpse into the lives of the Anecdotals – those whose lives have been changed drastically by taking the vaccine.
Jennifer first shares why she decided to make the film, how she was not allowed to participate in society, and the lack of understanding and accusations she has received from both Covid vaccine advocates and those against the jab.
She describes how she spent 3 months with a lawyer fact checking everything in the film before YouTube blocked it for misinformation. She then explains how YouTube put the movie back up following outcry from people on Twitter and particularly a tweet from Senator Ron Johnson accusing YouTube of censorship that received 60,000 views in 2 hours.
She finishes with the many positive messages she receives from people daily, and how despite being afraid to get caught in the crossfire, she knows she did the right thing.
